Happy Cinco De Mayo!

In honor on Cinco De Mayo I thought I would share my "skinny margarita" recipe's with you. These were concocted up while I was in college.


Frozen Tree Hugging Cherry Margarita



Ingredients:
1.5 oz. tequila (clear tequila is better for you than colored)
1/2 tsp. Crystal Light powdered drink mix, Cherry Limeade
5 oz. water
1 oz. lime juice
Optional: lime slice for garnish and salt + no-calorie sweetener for rim of glass

Directions:
Run some lime or lemon juice along the rim of the glass and dip into a dish of salt and sweetener mixture. Place all ingredients (dissolve Crystal Light in water first) in a blender with 1 cup ice and blend on high until well mixed and to the frozen consistency of your liking. Serves 1!

Skinny Margarita



Ingredients:

3/4 cup Fresca (any diet lemon-lime pop would probably work)
1.5 oz. tequila (clear tequila is better for you than colored)
1/2 tsp. Crystal Light Lemonade mix
2 tbsp. lime juice
Lime slice for garnish and salt and no-calorie sweetener mixture for rim of glass


Directions:
Run some lime or lemon juice along the rim of the glass and dip into a dish of salt and sweetener mixture. Mix all ingredients together. Pour over 1 cup of crushed ice.
