Rihanna Make-Up: Love The Way You Lie

In the hit music video for Rihanna's  single (featuring Eminem) "Love The Way You Lie" the singer was seen wearing a dramatic dark smokey and pale pink lips. If you're a beauty addict like myself you probably watched it over and over just to try and recreate her sexy make-up.

If you haven't tried it yet or where thinking of it, don't fret!
Below is a step by step guide to achieving the look.

Kim Kardashian Make-Up: Teen Choice Awards 2010

Here's a really easy and simple make-up tutorial I came across on Youtube, for recreating the look Kim Kardashian wore at the 2010 Teen Choice Awards.
All you'll need are 2-3 eyeshadow colors and a few other basics of course(foundation, powder, blush, bronzer).

Face And Outfit Of The Day

Yesterday we celebrated the bf's birthday. None of us where in the mood to get completely dressed up and spent most of the day brunching and watching The A-Team at the cinemas (highly recommend as it wasn't just an action movie, but also included alot of funny lines and shirtless guys ha ha).

At night we went to dinner with family and here's what I wore:

I bought these items back in April, so not all items will be available. The top from Forever 21 is actually a sweater like material and from the Alice In Wonderland collection.

It's so soft and probably one of my favorite wardrobe items of the moment.

The earrings are from Forever 21 and I didn't really accessorize with anything else aside from a black clutch.

I was running very late and only used liner (upper and lower) and mascara.

On my FACE I used:
-Revlon Colorstay Foundation
-Coastal Scents Camo quad (in Medium) for my under eye circles
-Benefit Moon Beam on my upper cheekbones, cupids bow, browbone and nose
-Maybeline pressed powder
-Estee Lauder brow pencil
-Anastasia Brow Wax pencil in Clear
-Mac Technakohl liner in Graphblack
-Rimmel profesional liquid liner
-NYC Moisaic powder blush
-NYX Dolly Pink lipgloss

NYX Dolly Pink is one of my favorite glosses and I'm so happy I picked it up! It's highly pigmented for a gloss and can even be layered to look darker. It's a hot pink that's very wearable, even for those - like me - who shy away from bright lips.

Lady Gaga Make Up Tutorial

Here are make up products you can use to recreate Lady Gaga's look at the 2010 Grammy's.

New Smashbox Lip Techs + Runway Look

I saw this video and was instantly drooling over everything used! From the brushes, to the blush and of course, new Smashbox Lip Techs.

"The Spring runways were all about softly stained, satin-matte lips. Lori Taylor shows us how to get this ultra-feminine, romantic look in just a few simple steps using our amazing new Lip Tech."- Smashbox.com

Here's the runway inspired look from Smashbox cosmetics. Below I highlighted the products I'm dying to get my hands on after seeing this video.

The products used where the 2 eyeshadows in Shell and Oyster: 2 lovely golden and pink pearl shades that instantly brighten the lids and reflect light.

Then there's  this "arced" liner brush #21 ($20) which was used with a cream/gel liner in black. This brush was designed so you can flawlessly apply liner to the top lashline AND lower waterline too. Genius.

After applying mascara, Lip Tech in Sangria was used. This is a semi matte, glide on flush of lip color, which isn't exactly a lipstick nor gloss. It's supposed to give the look of just bitten lips. Aside from the mirror, it comes with a special silicone applicator, that prevents color from soaking into the brush, allowing you to layer more. And it contains Vitamin E.

A fan brush was used to apply some Baked Fusion Softlights in Stardust to cheekbones, and a deep blush. I'm loving the idea of using the fanbrush (#22) for just the right placement and amount of blush.

Tutorial: Kate Moss

Here's a sexy glamourous tutorial for the look Kate Moss was seen wearing in the YSL Parisienne advertisment. It's a COLOURED cat eye- I've been trying to do a cat eye using eye shadows for ages.

Anyone notice this Make-up Guru kind of looks like Kate Moss??

Got a date planned? Planning to enjoy the day single, fabulous and with friends? Either way, Valentine's day isn't just for couples so make the best of it and overdose on chocolates. You can spend the day treating yourself, your parents or even friends to something nice.
This Youtube user has unfortunatly disabled embedding so check out these 4 looks by clicking on the links for some really easy DIY nail tutorials for Valentine's day:

Day time make up looks

If you're anything like me, the vibrant green, blue and/or yellow eyeshadow tutorials aren't appropriate for day time make up. It looks great on some, but on me it just looks overdone.

Happy to say I think I've found another ways to my do make up thanks to youtubers, with just a bit of make up.

For this first look *cute 60's pin up girl inspired make up* you'll need these for the eyes:
-black liner pencil.
-creamy skin tone shadow/cream.
-dark blue/metallic liner (don't worry, nothing too shocking).
-brush for smudging.

And this one *subtle smokey eye* (i think this is officially the easiest smokey eye tut ever!):
-brown metallic eye shadow.
-black eyeliner.
-pencil brush.

Colorfull Arabic Eyeshadow Tutorial

Here is another look from MakeUpGeek. Check out this sexy "arabic eyes" tutorial using Mac products. If you don't have Mac eyeshadows, any other metallic eyeshadow in the same colors will do. You'll also need a creamy eyeliner.
Pay attention to the tape she uses to get the eyeshadow to stay right where she wants.

Angelina Jolie Make Up From Wanted

Here's a simple way to get the smouldering, dark cat eye Angelina was seen wearing in her recent movie Wanted. All you'll need is a brow highlighter color, liner and black/grey shadow.

How to: Simple Smokey Eye

One of the few make up items I bought in London was this black eye shadow. Felt I needed it since I have ALWAYS wanted to try and do the smokey eye look... but have failed miserably due to lack of make up/tools.

This is the one I got:

Rimmel - Color Rush in Jet Black

Now if only to be able to use it, right? I found the easiest smokey eye look tutorial here from my favorite make up "vlogger". Enjoy! I love it because I don't have too many eye shadow, only the ones I use regularly, and all you need for this look are 3 colors: black, silver and white.

If you have more eye shadow colors, and would like to do the more complicated (but a so sexy cat eye) smokey look, I posted one before here.
