There are bikinis and there are babes. But then all babes can't do justice to a bikini, but thankfully there are a few who do. Here's a sampling of the best bikini bodies of 2009.
Kim Kardashian: The American celebutante, socialite, model, actress, businesswoman, and television personality stays in the news for her social life and her role on the E! reality show 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians'.
Kim Kardashian: Kardashian was one of 13 participants on the seventh season of Dancing with the Stars, which helped her get in shape. She was partnered with Current DWTS Champion Mark Ballas. Kardashian was the third contestant voted off the show on September 30, 2008, finishing in 11th place overall.
Anna Faris: The American actress and singer is known for her comic roles. Faris has appeared in the 'Scary Movie' series of films, 'The Hot Chick' (2002), 'Lost in Translation' (2003), and 'My Super Ex-Girlfriend' (2006). In 2008, she had a starring role in 'The House Bunny', for which she earned an MTV Movie Awards nomination. Her recent and upcoming films include 'Young Americans', 'Frequently Asked Questions About Time Travel', and 'Observe and Report'. She also provided voice acting in the animated film 'Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs' and the upcoming film 'Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel'.
Anna Faris: More recently, Faris co-starred as Seth Rogen's cosmetic counter girlfriend in Jody Hill's 2009 comedy, 'Observe and Report'. Faris won the "Stonette of the Year" award at High Times magazine's Stony Awards, in Los Angeles, on October 13, 2007, for her role in Smiley Face. In 2009, she was nominated in MTV's Movie Awards for Best Comedic Performance for her movie 'The House Bunny'.
The American model is best known for her appearances in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issues, and her work for lingerie retailer Victoria's Secret. After a stint shooting with photographer Mario Testino for fashion magazines like Vogue, Miller began working for both companies in 2002. As of late 2007, she is a Victoria's Secret Angel, and graced the cover of the 2008 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue to record-setting numbers, accomplishments that have led to her being dubbed the "return of the great American supermodel." She is also known for contracts with companies like Harley-Davidson and for ranking #1 on Maxim magazine's 2008 "Hot 100" list
Marisa Miller: The swell in publicity resulting from her 2008 work served to land Miller in the number one spot on Maxim magazine's "Hot 100" rankings for 2008, beating out list regulars such as Scarlett Johansson, Jessica Biel, and Eva Longoria-Parker. This marked the first time anyone has debuted on the list in the number one position. In her subsequent cover story for the July issue, Maxim proclaimed her as the "return of the great American supermodel." Of such acclaim, Miller admits, "I get a kick out of it, but it would be stupid to let it go to my head. It's modeling-I didn't find the cure for cancer."
Sophie Monk: The English-Australian pop singer, actress and model was once a member of female pop group Bardot and has since established a solo career with the release of an album, 'Calendar Girl'. More recently, she turned her hand to acting, appearing in films such as 'Date Movie' and 'Click'.

Monk started dating Benji Madden in 2006, but in January 2008, media outlets reported that the couple had split up. Monk had returned to Australia alone, almost a year to the day since Madden proposed. On February 12, 2008 it was officially announced by Monk's Sydney agent, Yoon Kim, that "Sophie and Benji have officially split. The decision was mutual and they remain amicable." Geri Halliwell: After coming to international prominence as a member of the girl group, the Spice Girls, Halliwell launched her solo career and released her debut album 'Schizophonic'. Since then she has released two more studio albums - 'Scream If You Wanna Go Faster' and 'Passion' - and four number one singles at the UK Singles Chart, "Mi Chico Latino", "Lift Me Up", "Bag It Up" and "It's Raining Men". In 2008 Halliwell published a book series named 'Ugenia Lavender'.
Geri Halliwell: Halliwell has recently been seen in the film 'Crank: High Voltage' alongside friend, actor, John Damon. Her most recent appearance on British Television was on the BBC 1's 'The One Show' on May 7, 2009. On May 24, 2009 she spoke to the Speed TV reporter Peter Windsor in the pit lane just prior to the start of the 2009 Monaco Grand Prix
Melanie Brown: Another ex-Spice Girl who was nicknamed "Scary Spice" by the British media because of her outrageous, "in-your-face" attitude, 'loud' Leeds accent, throaty laugh and manner of dress.
Melanie Brown: In April 2009, Brown joined actress and former 'Dancing With the Stars' champion Kelly Monaco as original stars of a Las Vegas revue called 'Peepshow' at the Las Vegas Planet Hollywood Hotel and Casino. It is unknown when Brown will release her next album, some reports suggest that Brown will be taking a break after the Peepshow tour and possibly release her new album after the hiatus. On August 17 2009, Brown was announced as a new panellist for ITV1's lunchtime show Loose Women, Brown has appeared in the show in the past. She will return to the show when the show returns from its summer break in September 2009. On Thursday 17 September, it was announced that Brown will being departing from Loose Women and will be presenting her final show of her current stint on 'Friday 18th'.
Jewel: Jewel Kilcher, professionally known as Jewel, is an American singer-songwriter, guitarist, actress, and poet. She has received three Grammy Award nominations and has sold twenty-seven million albums worldwide, and almost twenty million in the United States alone. Kilcher debuted on February 28, 1995, with the album, Pieces of You, which became one of the best selling debut albums of all time, going platinum twelve times. One single from the album, "Who Will Save Your Soul", peaked at #11 on Billboard's Hot 100; two others, "You Were Meant for Me" and "Foolish Games", each reached #2 and were included in Billboard's 1997 year-end singles chart. During her career, she has released several albums, frequently switching genres between working on her albums. Perfectly Clear, her first country record, was released on The Valory Music Co. in 2008. It debuted at #1 on the U.S. Billboard Top Country Albums chart and featured three singles, "Stronger Woman", "I Do", and "Til It Feels Like Cheating". Jewel released her first independent album Lullaby in May 2009.
Jewel: In early 2009, it was announced that Jewel would release a new studio album titled Lullaby, a collection of lullabies, which she described as 'not just for children, but also adults'. Its lead single 'Somewhere Over the Rainbow' was issued to iTunes on March 17. The album was released on May 5. "Somewhere Over The Rainbow" was #1 on The Top Children's Songs the week of release.
Kelly Brook: English model, actress, occasional swimwear designer and television presenter, Kelly Brook began her modelling career began at 16 after winning a beauty competition that her mother entered her in. Following this success she worked on a range of advertising campaigns, including for Foster's Lager, Renault Megane, Walkers crisps, Piz Buin and Bravissimo, a company that specialises in bras and lingerie for large-breasted women. Her voluptuous figure eventually caught the eye of the editorial team of the Daily Star tabloid, which began featuring her as a Page Three girl.
Kelly Brook: Brook caused a minor controversy in 2006 opposite Juan Pablo Di Pace whilst in the film 'Survival Island' (also known as Three), also co-starring Billy Zane, who would later become her fiancé. Brook requested her nude scenes with Di Pace be excised from the final cut, which the producers refused to do. In 2006, she also starred in a Marple drama on ITV and appeared as herself throughout the second series of Moving Wallpaper for ITV1, in 2009. She stars also in the Science-Fiction thriller 'Shadow Play', directed by Nick Simon.
Nicole Scherzinger: The lead singer of the Pussycat Dolls was previously part of reality TV girlgroup Eden's Crush and despite minor chart successes she left due to being unhappy. She then joined the Pussycat Dolls when they were a burlesque troop before taking the role of lead singer when the group became a recording group. So far the Pussycat Dolls have released two successful albums PCD and Doll Domination with two supporting tours. In between the two albums Scherzinger made her first attempt at a solo album (Her Name is Nicole) which proved unsuccessful. Currently the Pussycat Dolls are taking a break whilst recording their third studio album. Each member is pursuing their own projects. Scherzinger has resumed work on her delayed debut solo album which is being reworked from the scratch.
Nicole Scherzinger: Speaking about the delayed release of her solo album, in September 2008 Scherzinger said "Despite what other people might write, it was my decision, ultimately. I actually put some of my solo songs on the Pussycat Dolls' new album Doll Domination. Everything is all about timing. I believe it will come out next year, and it will be able to coexist wonderfully with the Dolls' album. It's completely separate from what you've heard with "Baby Love" and "Whatever U Like," and I'm still working on it - that's what happens when you're a perfectionist." She was interviewed by Billboard magazine in April 2009 regarding her own career plans as well as what The Dolls were up to. She said "the current incarnation of the album is just in talks and in the writing process. I haven't started recording yet." She plans to enter the studio again after the Pussycat Dolls have finished their World Domination Tour.
Fergie: Stacy Ann Ferguson, better known by her stage name Fergie, is an American singer-songwriter, fashion designer, actress, and part-owner of the Miami Dolphins. She was a member of the children's television series 'Kids Incorporated', and the girl group Wild Orchid. Ferguson was also a co-host of the television show Great Pretenders. She is the female vocalist for the hip hop/pop group the Black Eyed Peas, as well as a solo artist, having released her debut album, The Dutchess, in September 2006. The album spawned five Billboard Hot 100 Top 5 singles (three of which went to number one) making The Dutchess the seventh album from a female artist to spawn five Top 5 hits.
