Easter in the Burg

Hope everyone had a fabulous Easter!

Here is my Easter recap for you!

For breakfast I had an the usual fruit with Easter Bunny shaped whip.. yum!

My Easter basket from my Mummie & Daddy! The boy got one as well.

This is what saved my feet after hours of being in the kitchen the past couple days and nights! So I thought I would share it with you. It's a Gel Mat and it's by GelPro. Honestly it is the best investment you can make if you are on your feet constantly in the kitchen. Without my GelPro Mat I would probably be crying right now about being in pain. If you value your feet and want to enjoy cooking/baking without the pain I would suggest investing in a GelPro Mat! You can order them on the website here!My Mummie is definitely getting one of these for Christmas this year!

Dyed Eggs = deviled eggs in fun colors ;)

I absolutely love when they have the funky colors on them

I put out some candies before the guest arrived. The boy thought they were peanut m&m's and took a handful and then freaked asking what the heck they were...

they're candy coated mints...

Bunny napkins!

In Michigan daffodils are hard to grow, expensive at stores and people love them at Easter. In the Burg they just grow in the woods like weeds. So the boy picked some for our table center piece.

Tablescape

Menu:
Ham
Twice Baked Potatoes
Green bean almondean
Hawaiian rolls
Cole slaw
Deviled eggs
Pickles

Check out my new basket!! It's a Longaberger Basket! I served the dinner rolls in it, and everyone gave me compliments on the basket. For those of you who have never heard of Longaberger it's out of Newark, Ohio, and is America's premier maker of handcrafted baskets. I love the fact that there are so many baskets to choose from and each one is handcrafted. On the bottom of the baskets it says who they are by and the year which is great. When you are just moving into a place and settling down you don't want to get products that are so so you want to make a high quality investment. Longaberger Baskets are gorgeously made, and trust me people know when it's Longaberger! The Longaberger Basket is kind of like the Louis Vuitton of the basket world. I will definitely be putting baskets on my bridal registry. They are great to have, and when you have guest over people aren't think "college student" they're thinking great style and taste!

For dessert I made tulip and butterfly sugar cookies

Dessert tray of butterfly and tulip sugar cookies, and my healthy cupcakes that everyone seemed to love! (I will post the recipe tomorrow!)

How was your Easter?

If you would like any recipes for anything I made or have any questions feel free to ask!

Today was a horrible eating day, and I even forgot to take a picture of my dinner. Good thing tomorrow is a new start... with NO cookies!

Egg Dying Extravaganza

Hello Kitty egg dying kit. One, because I love Hello Kitty and Two, it contains the brightest colors!

I absolutely love dying Easter eggs and even have the boy loving the tradition. He wasn't really thrilled about his blue fingers though. Oh well! It was a ton of fun!

Do you dye Easter Eggs?

Hopefully I will squeeze in a couple post today... I have a lot of prep that still needs to be done + cleaning + a run + mani/pedi. Busy little bunny today!
