"Transformers 3 is in production now, and some pictures have emerged of Megan Fox on set.

In other Transformers news, Jamie Kennedy stopped by the studios of KUPD in Phoenix to talk to Holmberg’s Morning Sickness, where I also contributed movie reviews once upon a time. Kennedy was joking about burying himself in work since his break-up from Jennifer Love Hewitt and mentioned that he might be in the threequel.

“I had an awesome meeting on Transformers 3. I would love to get it,” Kennedy said. “It would be amazing to get this part, but I don’t know if I’m going to get it.”

And Patrick Dempsey may be in the cast, too. Here’s a loose translation of what he told a Brazilian website about his upcoming projects: “Flypaper, which I start filming in the end of the month, and Transformers 3, where I play a much darker character than the others.” By the others, we think he means handsome, juggling doctors.

If Kennedy and Dempsey do indeed round out the ensemble, they’ll join Fox, Shia LaBeouf, John Malkovich, Ken Jeong, Frances McDormand, John Turturro, Tyrese Gibson, some racially stereotypical cars, explosions, and Josh Duhamel. The movie comes out on July 1, 2011."

Marilyn Monroe was before my time but for the generation before me, she captured a nation’s attention, even garnering the attention of a former U.S. President.

Monroe, born Norma Jean Baker, led a remarkable but short life. Although the circumstances of her death are open to debate, she committed “probable suicide” on August 5, 1962, ending a 36-year roller coaster ride.

Monroe was married briefly to Joe DiMaggio, a baseball Hall of Famer that played for the New York Yankees. She was also chosen to appear on the December 1953 inaugural issue of Playboy magazine and was the publication’s first Playmate of the Month.

Rumors have existed since the 1960s that Monroe had affairs with Robert Kennedy or John F. Kennedy, or both.

While allegations of an affair with President Kennedy did not make it into the mainstream press until the 1970s, a pamphlet in 1964, published after Monroe’s death entitled The Strange Death of Marilyn Monroe, by investigator Frank Cappell, alleged a relationship between Monroe and Bobby Kennedy.

JFK’s reputed mistress Judith Exner, in her 1977 autobiography, also wrote about an affair that she says the president and Monroe had.
