Akron Watson, who was on last nights San Antonio episode with his cousin has been dropped from the competition.
He was dropped by producers via phone call and without explanation two days before leaving for Hollywood. As it turns out, Akron was arrested in 2003 for a marijuana related incident. His court records have been obtained and posted by PegasusNews.com. Oh geeze, here we go. Reefer madness! It was three years ago, give the guy a break.
Another contestant from San Antonio, Ashlyn Carr, also has a past arrest on her record. Last August she was arrested for pouring sugar into an ex-boyfriends gas tank. She confessed to the crime. But the crime must not have been bad enough for AI producers to can her. Ashlyn continues on in the competition.
